Thank you for your interest in a holiday with us aboard Eda Frandsen. We hope
the following will be of help when packing. Please note that personal
stowage space is limited.
We supply duvets and covers at no extra charge. If you would prefer to bring a sleeping bag
please let us know.
Bring your own oilskins ONLY if you want your own. The boat has enough to go round.
The boat has lifejackets and harnesses for everyone.
Wellington boots
Deck shoes, plimsolls or trainers
Suntan lotion and sunglasses
Swimsuit (optional)
Shirts, light weight or "Tee" shirts
Warm comfortable clothing, eg. tracksuit etc.
Fleece or warm jumper, warm jacket etc.
Thermal underwear
Several changes of socks
Warm hat and gloves
Lipsalve
Insect repellant
Seasickness pills if you want them
Towel
Toilet bag, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste etc
Ladies; enough tampons etc
Camera if you like, plus enough film
Video camera if you like, plus battery charger (recharging can usually
be done on board)
For the Hebrides:-
Walking boots if you want them
Lightweight walking waterproofs if you want them
All in SOFT holdall or bag;- no hard suitcases, frame rucksacs etc.
The boat carries a small selection of beers, wines and spirits for purchase
on board.
Please let us know if you are taking any medication and bring sufficient
supply.
Please let us know of any special diets in advance.
Joining is normally at 3.00pm on the day of arrival. We don't have a regular berthing place, but
Mallaig is not a large harbour and Eda is easily found.
Leaving is 10.30am in order to meet the train if required.
Insurance.
We would suggest that you take out personal insurance to cover your personal belongings, your
travel to and from Mallaig, personal accident while ashore and in case of your cancellation.
We can recommend the policy offered by Noble Marine which costs approximately £15 for 9 days cover.
