We love these Spring weekends in Cornwall. With local wild garlic pesto, Cornish new potatoes, cream teas and Easter Eggs, and filled with the promise of Summer ahead, they are always just a little bit magic.
The secluded creeks and anchorages of the Fal estuary are beautifully quiet at this time of year, making a long weekend onboard Eda the perfect way to unwind. Access locations you can only dream of from the shore, while safe in the knowledge that we have everything taken care of. Get involved with hauling up sails and taking the wheel, under the guidance of our experienced and knowledgeable crew.
Well known as a stunning coastal sailing location, Falmouth, Cornwall is the perfect vantage point for accessing the hidden delights of the Fal, Fowey and Helford River Estuaries. Your 3 - night stay onboard will include coastal day-sailing, the chance to go ashore for walks and swims, and we provide a fully inclusive experience where all meals on board are included in the price of your voyage. Our experienced and adaptable chef is happy to cater to your and your party's needs, whilst you learn the ropes or sit back and relax with a book and take in some of the most beautiful and remote locations in Cornwall.

Join Eda Frandsen in Falmouth, at the entrance to the Falmouth Yacht Haven Marina, which is situated behind the Chainlocker pub, on Quay Hill. The marina entrance is on the left-hand side at the bottom of Quay hill, please wait at the top of the walkway down to the gate and one of us will come and meet you.
Depending on the tide, Eda will either be berthed alongside the pontoon in Falmouth Yacht Haven, or moored in the harbour. The marina entrance is a short walk from the train stations and car parks. If you arrive early do feel free to leave your bag with us, as we will still be finishing off the last bits of preparation for the trip. If you plan to stay awhile after the voyage, it may be possible to leave bags with us. There are some lovely walks, cafes and restaurants to explore locally. Both the National Maritime Museum and Gyllyngvase Beach are just a short walk away, there are also plenty of independent shops, cafes and art galleries on Market Street.
Travelling to Falmouth
There are a variety of ways to travel to the popular holiday town of Falmouth, the journey by car, bus, plane or train is relatively simple with good transport connections and parking.
By Train
Trains to Cornwall leave from London Paddington, with the mainline stopping at Truro. Change here and take the ‘Maritime Line’ to Falmouth, journey time: approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at Falmouth Town station, which is a five-minute walk from Custom House Quay, where Eda Frandsen will be waiting. Please see the Trainline website for timetables and tickets.
By Road
Follow the M5 to Exeter, and join the A30 to Truro, before following signs to Falmouth and then towards the Maritime Museum or Falmouth docks. For parking, there is a long stay car park called The Dell, which is just below Falmouth Town Train Station,
By Plane
Newquay Airport Cornwall is our most convenient airport, to get to Falmouth from the airport take a taxi from the airport directly to Falmouth for around £65. Taxis from the airport need to be booked in advance. Alternatively, take a bus into Newquay before changing for Truro, then for Falmouth.
By Bus
National Express serves Falmouth from destinations throughout the UK. Call 08705 80 80 80. Local buses from Truro, Newquay and other towns offer frequent services to/from Falmouth If you need a Falmouth Taxi: Abacus; 01326 212141

A Few Last Useful Things to Know
Eda has a 240V electricity supply onboard which is suitable for charging cameras and phones, please don’t bring hair dryers or other heavy-draw electronic equipment as all of our power is generated onboard.
There is a heated towel rail in the saloon that runs when the engine is on, and the engine room doubles up as a drying room at the end of each day.
We have on board everyone from salty sea dogs with heaps of sailing experience under their belt, to those who have never stepped on a boat before, and all we ask from everyone is to approach the trip with an aim to get enthusiastically stuck in, in whatever way you can.
